FRENCH TOAST BUT HEALTHY
This french toast recipe is a game changer.
For starters, the traditional french toast recipe typically uses bread that has white flour and white sugar, among other not-so-healthy ingredients that are actually not necessary. The best part is that this recipe is still as delicious (or even more) than the classic one! It not only skips some of the unhealthy ingredients but also adds others that are packed with clean ingredients that are nutritionally dense.
Apart from being healthy and tasty, this french toast is also very satiating — making this the perfect way to start the morning!
Directions
Heat oil in a pan (I use coconut oil).
Whisk eggs in a bowl and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
Dredge your bread through the mixture and saturate on both sides.
Place bread in the oil-coated pan that has heated to medium temperature, and top with remaining egg batter.
Sauté to a golden brown on both sides.
Place your french toast on a plate and add the toppings for extra flavor and nutrients.
Drizzle with maple syrup.
