RAW OVERNIGHT OATS

These overnight oats are a game-changer: your breakfast is ready even before you wake up! 

But apart from helping you be one step ahead in your day, eating raw oats has many health benefits. 

Raw oats release higher amounts of beta-glucans compared to cooked oats. These help speed fat metabolism and lower cholesterol levels. Raw oats are also a great source of fiber and can aid in weight loss. 

Are you ready to try this easy, healthy and yummy recipe?

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of oats

  • Water (enough to cover the oats)

  • A pinch of sea salt

  • 1/2 tsp. of vanilla 

  • A pinch of cinnamon

Directions

  1. Add the oats to a mason jar and cover them just to the top with water. 

  2. Add a pinch of sea salt, 1/2 tsp. of vanilla and a pinch of cinnamon.

  3. Stir all the ingredients.

  4. Put the lid on your jar and put it in the fridge.

  5. Pull them out the next morning!

Tip: If you don’t want your oats cold, you can always warm them up in the microwave!

Here are some great topping ideas: 

Topping Idea #1

On a layer of oats, add a layer of Greek yogurt with blackberry jam.

On top of the yogurt and jam, add another layer of oats.

Add a drizzle of honey at the very top.

Topping Idea #2

Another great option is to top your oats with your favorite fruits and nuts!

Then I suggest adding a drizzle of honey or sweetener of choice. 

*By adding yogurt and/or nuts you are more likely to feel satiated longer.
