Pickled Jalapeños

If you're looking to add a bit of tangy heat to your meals, these easy pickled jalapeños are perfect! Made with apple cider vinegar, they’re not only delicious but also packed with gut-friendly benefits.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb peppers (any variety)

  • Cloves of garlic (to add to the jar as desired)

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tsp sea salt

  • 2 tbsp to 1/4 cup of your favorite sweetener (e.g., dehydrated honey)

  • 4 cloves garlic

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, apple cider vinegar, sea salt, sweetener, and 4 cloves of garlic.

  2. Slowly bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally until sweetener and salt are dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

  3. Pack peppers into clean jars, leaving some space at the top.

  4. Pour the cooled brine over the peppers, covering them completely.

  5. Add additional garlic cloves to the jar if desired, then seal with a lid.

  6. Refrigerate the jars. These pickled peppers will stay fresh for several months.

This simple recipe comes together quickly and keeps for months in the fridge, so you’ll always have a spicy, flavorful topping ready to go. Use them on tacos, nachos, chili, or anything that could use a kick!
