Homemade Healthy Breadcrumbs

Making your own healthy breadcrumbs at home is simple and a great way to use up days-old bread. Perfect for adding texture to your favorite dishes!

Ingredients:

  • Days-old bread, sliced

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. Slice the Bread:
    Slice the days-old bread into even pieces.

  3. Bake Until Crispy:
    Place the bread slices on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the bread is completely dried out and crispy. Flip halfway through to ensure even crisping.

  4. Cool Completely:
    Remove from the oven and allow the bread to cool completely.

  5. Process into Breadcrumbs:
    Once cooled, place the crispy bread slices in a food processor. Pulse until the bread is chopped into fine breadcrumbs.

  6. Store or Use:
    Use your homemade breadcrumbs immediately or store them in an airtight container for later use.
